What are the alternative pathways into medicine in WA?

I just finished my tee and anticipate missing out on the entry score for undergraduate medicine by a few points. Is there an alternative way of getting in to undergraduate medicine?

I am taking a gap year and was thinking of completing the first year of a Bachelors degree and attaining a high enough GPA so that I may qualify for non-standard entry into medicine in 2009. Does this seem possible and is there any alternative ways?
